My First Time in jeopardy

So August is nearly with us and with that brings the genuine excitement of my first ever festival, namely Leeds Festival. Now this being my first time means that I leave myself in the arms of mystery i.e. not a clue how the festival works bar getting a tent, a sleeping bag, turning up and watching music. Anything else is like I said a mystery so I’ve been quietly doing as much research as possible so that my weekend is not spoiled. I even napped myself a locker to store my reserves encase I lose my shoes and don’t fancy walking in the grass barefoot for three days. I had a plan if admit ally a free easy going plan, I’ll explain...... The grand plan was to catch the earliest train from where I live to Leeds on Friday morning on my own. Once in Leeds I would catch a train/bus/walk depending on distance to arrive at my home for three days. I would get my wristband, put my bag in my locker and then somehow locate my friends tent (he's going on Thursday). All this before catching The Walkmen on the mainstage! Sounds easy right? well I’m not so dumb to believe that this grand would play out without a hitch but today's events have meant that this plan may never even be attempted!

Why you may ask (you properly didn’t, but hey it helps the post). Well back in March when the last batch of tickets went on sale I purchased 3 day tickets because they ran out of weekend tickets. To my sheer horror today I found that if I don’t have a weekend ticket I basically cant camp.....panic on the streets of Anfield!!!.

The plan is now different: Sell my ticket on eBay and purchase a weekend ticket which allows me to camp. I'll have to take a loss on my ticket which will suck but as long as I’m there on Friday to see The Walkmen on the main stage then you're never hear me say another bad word. Thou I have a few minor problems to solve before I get there. a) I not a member of eBay, I used to put one day my password never worked and nor eBay or PayPal wanted me back in since. b) I haven’t received my originally purchased tickets yet and I’ve lost my reference number so that could be a fun phonecall.

To be fair to the situation I’m overreacting and I’m sure everything will turn out for the better, but since I’ve been told this a hour ago I still have the 'Your not going to Leeds now' thoughts running through my head, oh joy!

Apologies to start my blogging life with a tale of woe. My next post will try to bring a more positive flavour to balance the books.
